How to create an outdoor room

With warmer weather just around the corner (we hope!), you might well find yourself spending more time in your garden soon. Your outdoor space quickly becomes an extension of your home, a new room if you will. If you think about it just like that, you really start to think about the ‘floor’, is it stone, porcelain, wood or grass. How about the walls; fences, hedges or climbing plants. One thing we can’t change is the British weather and so that is where a pergola can come in rather handy! With the ability to have a louvred pergola, you can let the sun in or cover with shade or completely shut the rain out on those overcast summer days.

Creating Shade
Whether you have young children or want to escape the midday sun, a pergola or gazebo provides the perfect solution. Add blinds to each side of the pergola and it really does become its own room - or an outdoor den as we like to call it in our house!

A Cinema Space
Add in some furniture, rugs, cushions, blankets and pendant lights to create a cosy environment, perfect for your very own cinema. As the sun sets, project onto the side blinds and you have your very own outdoor cinema!

A Dining Room
There'll be no rain on your parade. Light that BBQ because it doesn't matter if it’s rain or shine you can still have a BBQ under a pergola. For the full luxe experience why not consider creating a built in bar or kitchen.

With your new pergola, you can now enjoy indoor-outdoor living at its best!
